Abraham Potter born 13 August, 1837 Letcher Co., KY., died 13 May, 1913 in Pike Co., KY, was buried 15 May 1913 in the Potter Family Cemetery, Payne Gap, KY. Abraham Potter 1837 was the son of Isaac Potter 1801 and Mary Polly Houston.

Abraham Potter married (1st) on 15 July 1859 to Margaret "Peggy" Newsome, the daughter of Hartwell "Will" Newsome and Sarah Sally Tolley. Margaret "Peggy" Newsome was born 1835 in VA. and died about 1868. Margaret is buried in Dunham, Letcher Co., KY. Children of Abraham Potter 1837 and Margaret "Peggy" Newsome 1835;

  William "Henry" Potter was born 17 September 1862 and died 10 February 1944. He married 11 January 1884 to Didema Hall.

  King Solomon "Sol" Potter was born 11 August 1865 and died 23 July 1943. He married 30 July 1885 to Matilda Hall.

  Sarah Ann Potter was born in 1860 in Letcher Co., KY. She married 14 February 1879 to Calvin Washburn "Wash" Brummitt.

Some of the info in the book is rather biased about the Reynolds family, but it's not the first time some have their facts wrong. However, it does offer one version of the events in the feuds.
