Archie was born 17 November 1928 in Letcher Co KY. Growing up in Kentucky, Archie met and married on 20 April 1950 to Vera Edith Mullins. Vera was born 22 December 1932 and died 25 March 2001. Vera was the daughter of Thomas Mullins and Lucretia Hall. (Thomas Mullins was the son of Mantford Mullins and Nancy Mullins)

Archie and his family have lived in the same area of Kentucky their whole lives. My sister Carlene and I were the same age as our nephews, Michael and Mitchell Potter. All of us had a great time playing in the snow, climbing in the hills and running around together when we were kids.

Archie and Vera Mullins Potter had a total of 8 children, 6 boys and 2 girls. Archie and Vera lost 4 sons as infants. They were Archie Vincent Jr, Terry W, John M and David M Potter. They are buried in the Reynolds Family Cemetery at Seco, KY along with their Mother, Vera Edith Mullins Potter. Children of Archie and Vera Mullins Potter;
