Wendy was killed on 4 February 1997 on a training mission near Israel.
Wendy and Chad both entered the navy and trained as rescue swimmers, a very difficult
occupation that takes specialized training. At the end of Wendy's training, she was the 2nd woman to ever complete
Navy Rescue Swimmer training.
