Jackson Combs was born 24 January, 1838 Perry Co. Ky and died 29 April, 1914 Knott Co., Ky.  He was the son of Jeremiah Lorenzo Combs Jr and Sarah "Sally" Kelly. Jackson married 8 April, 1859 in Perry Co., Ky to Mary Ann Young.

Mary Ann Young was the daughter of Reece Young and Oriah "Ora" Ritchie. Mary Ann Young was born 4 September, 1843 Perry Co., Ky and died 28 September, 1890 in Knott Co., Ky.

Jackson Combs married 2nd to Lucinda Combs on 11 December 1896 in Knott Co KY. Lucinda was born May 1878 in KY. Jackson Combs and Lucinda Combs had Paulina (Purline) born November 1892 and Margaret Combs.  Children of Jackson Combs and Mary Ann Young;

  Jeremiah "Free Jerry" Combs born 12 January 1861 and died 1 January 1934 in Lexington, Fayette Co. KY. Free Jerry Combs married in 1888 to Roseannah "Rosaney" Engle.   Armelda "Melda" Combs was born 28 August, 1862 and died 15 March, 1953. Armelda "Melda" Combs married on 24 September, 1879 to Hilliard Jackson Smith the son of William Medford Smith and Martha Ashley.

Hilliard Jackson Smith was born on 13 April, 1855 and died 19 April, 1915 in Knott Co., KY. Polly Ann Combs married in 1903 to 2nd Jordan Combs. 2nd Jordan Combs was born 24 July 1864 in Perry Co KY and died 14 January 1940 in Perry Co KY. 2nd  Jordan Combs was son of Samuel "Cedar Head" Combs and Sarah "Sally" Allen. 2nd Jordan Combs married 1st Katherine "Katy" Gayheart. 1st Katherine Katy Gayheart was born about 1871 in KY.

  William Riley Combs was born 1 November 1868 in Kentucky and died 22 October 1957.  William Riley Combs married 26 April 1892 in Perry County KY to Rebecca "Becky" Stacy, the daughter of James Stacy and Nancy Morgan.
